Robodock
It has now been many years since Robodock took place. Yet we still carry the memories with us: the vast, flowing spectacle of makers, technicians and roboteers, combined with theater, performance and music.
For years we built a festival city from recycled-tech materials and found objects. Robodock was always full of idealism - an attempt to create and preserve a better world in a time when vacant shipyards still offered oceans of free space in Amsterdam.
Recently, we’ve often reflected on what the “mani-festival” truly meant. Not just an event, but a meeting place where creativity, connection and rebellious openness were at the center. And although those days are behind us, something kept bubbling—a desire to bring that special energy back to life.
That’s why we’d like to share with you that over the past few years, something new has slowly emerged. Not a copy of the festival, but a project arising from the same values of free space. A new place where we can once again build toward encounter, connection, creativity and community, in a way that fits the present moment.
In the coming period, we will share more about the plans and the first activities.
We sincerely hope you’ll join us again - not to repeat the past, but to write a new chapter together that carries the same soul.
